The Tuggeranong Vikings Bowls Club is situated at the VIKINGS TOWN CENTRE SPORTS CLUB, Greenway which has superb licensed club facilities and is surrounded by the picturesque Brindabella Mountains.

OPEN PENNANTS 2024 – FINALS (Report 18/04/24)

Vikings will have three grades playing elimination finals this weekend.   Grade three will play Queanbeyan at Queanbeyan, grade five will play Belconnen at Belconnen, and grade six will play Queanbeyan at Queanbeyan.   All games will be played on Saturday commencing at 10am.   Winners in all matches will advance to the Preliminary Final to be played on Sunday.

30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS (Report 03/04/24)

30th Anniversary celebrations will be held 31 May, 2024 in the Athlon Room at the Vikings Town Centre Club.   The evening will start at 6.00pm with dinner and dancing until midnight.   Put this date in your diaries as organisers promise this will be a night to remember.

NEW UNIFORMS (Report 03/04/24)

The Aceit men’s and ladies black shorts, pants, 3/4 pants and skorts have arrived.   Click here to see price list.   Uniforms can be collected from the bowls office prior to social bowls.

CLUB MIXED FOURS CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL (Report 22/03/24)

It’s back to back championship wins for Team Beaumont in the club Mixed Fours Championship.   Last years winners: Annette Tye, Dave Harris, Jenny Clout and John Beaumont lead from go to woah to defeat Pat Hamilton, Joy Clarke, Mike Corby and Dale Budnick 30 to 10.

BACT OVER 60’s PAIRS FINAL (Report 21/03/24)

Perennial Over 60’s pairs finalists, Annette Tye and Jenny Clout were unfortunately defeated by Queanbeyan RSL duo, Sue Lalor and Catherine Hunt in the final played on Wednesday.   Well done ladies on making the finals (again) this year.

BOWLS ACT PAIRS TITLE TO CHLOE MORRISON (Report 19/03/24)

Tuggeranong Vikings Chloe Morrison adds BACT Ladies Pairs to her long list of achievements.   Teaming up with Kristen Steele from Weston Creek, the pair defeated the Belconnen duo of Cornish and Mengel 20 shots to 15.

CHANGES TO SOCIAL BOWLS

After the recent AGM where members overwhelmingly voted to open up social bowls days to all members, the management committee have endorsed the outcome of this vote.   At this point in time, however, there will be no wholesale changes to the format of social bowls and a working group will be convened shortly to take feedback from the members to finalise the arrangements.

CHANGE OF DATES AND VENUE

Due to impending renovations at the Town Centre Club, the 30th Anniversary function has been moved to Friday 31st May 2024 and the combined Christmas Party/Presentation Day has been moved to the Lanyon Club on Saturday 14th December 2024.

SOCIAL BOWLS – CHANGE OF START TIME

2024 MEMBERSHIP FEES

Membership fees for 2024 were due and payable by December 31 2023.   If you are yet to renew your membership the renewal form is available online, click here, or blank forms will be available at the office counter.   If you are a new member, you need to complete this form.

 

NEW MEMBERS

New members are welcome and enquiries can be made by telephoning (02) 6293 4305 or email bowls@vikings.com.au.
Free coaching tuition can be provided with suitable times being negotiated with our accredited coaches.
Our club participates in pennant bowls, conducts internal championship events, holds Sports Days as well as various other tournaments throughout the year.

BAREFOOT BOWLS

Barefoot Bowls is popular for Christmas parties, birthdays or even team building sessions. Why not organise your friends and colleagues for a fun filled outing of barefoot bowls followed by, if required, meals and refreshments in the VIKINGS SPORTS CLUB.
